Hello friends of Eden Valley Institute,
We here at Eden Valley want to inform everyone that we acknowledge the concerns surrounding the prevalence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak as well as the concerns that come along with it. Facilitating a safe and healthy environment for our clients, lifestyle guests, staff and families is our highest priority.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is characterized by mild symptoms including a dry cough, and fever. Significant runny nose and sore throat are less likely. Illness can be more severe for some people and can lead to pneumonia or breathing difficulties. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. Older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.
At Eden Valley, we are closely monitoring the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (DCD), as well as our local and state health departments regarding COVID-19.
At Eden Valley, we strive to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for healing and restoration for all of our guests. As a precautionary measure, we have implemented an increase in our cleaning and hygiene routines and processes, in line with the recommendations of organizations such as the CDC and WHO.
We encourage everyone to implement the eight laws of health, as taught here at Eden Valley:
1.Healthy Nutrition
2.Regular Exercise
3.Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of good, clean water
4.Get outside in the sunshine
5.Practice temperance in your lifestyle, eliminating harmful practices and moderating healthy ones
6.Get plenty of fresh air and practice deep breathing exercises
7.Ensure that you get eight hours of good sleep every night
8.Place your trust in our Lord and Savior and maintain an attitude of gratitude
Some additional things that people can implement, along with the eight laws of health, to protect themselves and others from becoming infected with COVID-19 are:
1.Practicing frequent hand hygiene. Wash your hands frequently with warm water and soap, scrubbing your hands for at least 20 seconds with each washing.
2.Keep your hands away from your face, especially your eyes and mouth.
3.Avoid large groups and gatherings of people for the time being.
4.And, most importantly, come for a stay at Eden Valley where we can help you detoxify your body, strengthen your immune system and improve your overall health to help defend your body against COVID-19.
Yours in health,
Travis Laws, RN, CCRN
