Why should I come to The Well?
THE WELL trains and equips lay people for personal evangelism. We believe that all Christians are called by God to share His saving love and truth with others. We provide training that enables graduates to make a difference in the world. What makes THE WELL different is the equal emphasis placed upon the gospel work and the medical missionary work. Who are the teachers? The teachers come from all walks of life. Some are Eden Valley Lifestyle staff and many are guest instructors brought in to share their expertise. You can expect the instructors to be knowledgeable and excited to share that knowledge and experience. What is the student age range? All students must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED. However, our students have ranged in age from 21 – 70. As long as you are in good health and can participate in the program, there is no age restriction. What will I be qualified to do when I’m done? We'll equip you with the tools you need to reach souls for Christ in your local community, leading people to Jesus Christ. Many use these skills to assist in coordinating outreach with their local church. Some use this training to do overseas mission work and Bible/Health work in the U.S. We will do our best to find the right positions based upon your talents and abilities, however, we can not guarantee a paid position for you after the program ends. What if I can’t afford it right now? Some students have requested and received sponsorship from their home church with the understanding that the knowledge they learn here will be applied and utilized upon their return home. Others have been in a position to make monthly payments with their balance paid in full upon graduation. There are also limited work scholarship positions available. We can also provide a profile page on our Support A Missionary page where people can donate directly to your tuition. Where will I live? Our students are housed in a dormitory-like setting on campus. The room charge is included in the tuition cost. What will I eat? Our student cafeteria serves delicious, plant-based meals. Gluten-free options are available if needed. All meals are included in the tuition cost. What if I’m married, with children, with pet(s)? Married couples and families can occasionally be accommodated, if one or both, register for class. Children will not be permitted in the classroom but are welcome if one parent is not enrolled in class and can care for them. Pets are not permitted. |
